Using a mirror for one aspect of his image and his imagination for the other, Peter created his likeness and his alter ego during the month of may in 1995.
This incredible painting is relentless in its pursuit of a finished image. He often completely paints out the previous portrait, then re-paints himself as a different person.
The painting was renamed Jekyll and Hyde when it was finally finished.
